Kellye Bettman

Founder, Director and the face behind MusicLinks. A highly accomplished and talented musician, band conductor, music teacher and educator with over 25 years of experience, Kellye is passionate about inspiring the next generation of young musicians.

Kellye has extensive experience teaching music in both primary and secondary schools, directing concert band programs, teaching piano and woodwind instruments in both group and private lessons.

Alex O'Toole


Drums

Alex O’Toole is a drummer and educator based in Sydney and Wollongong, known for the creative flair and exacting detail in his playing. While specialising in progressive and alternative rock performance, Alex has extensive history recording and performing in pop, reggae, swing ensemble, punk, and blues sessions. 



Alex's focus in education is to provide his students with an understanding of technique, style, and context, in order to facilitate the intentional delivery of each drummer’s ideas, while promoting a love of music beyond just a love of drumming. 


Monique Warokka


Conductor/Keys and Percussion Tutor

With a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and an Advanced Diploma in Christian Ministry focused on Songwriting, along with proficiency in AMEB Classical Piano, Monique boasts a multifaceted musical background.


Since 2011, she has thrived as a solo artist, releasing her debut album in 2014 to acclaim on Christian radio while also captivating audiences with DJ sets and captivating Jazz vocals and keys performances.


With an impressive 14 years of teaching experience, Monique consistently guides her students to achieve high distinctions in AMEB exams.


 Additionally, she has served as a band conductor since 2019 for various institutions including St Joseph's Catholic Primary, St Kevin's, Corpus Christi, and Gordon East Public School, showcasing her versatility and leadership in musical education and performance.

Vanessa Purnama


Conductor and Brass Tutor

Vanessa is a passionate, dedicated brass tutor who loves watching her students excel in their chosen instrument.

She has a kind, empathetic approach to teaching, and firmly believes that every child should have a chance to learn and appreciate music.


Having been in bands for 9 years, Vanessa understands the joys and frustrations that playing an instrument can bring, especially within an ensemble.


Therefore, she seeks to guide her students through their own journeys.


She is currently doing a double Bachelor's degree in Education and Arts at Macquarie University, as well as teaching for the Amadeus Program.

Raylie-Anne Baldock


Conductor and Woodwind Tutor

Raylie-Anne has been learning music since she was 3yo and been in band programs learning flute since yr2 and trombone from yr5. She now has 27 years of playing experience in concert bands, orchestras, jazz bands, rock bands and contemporary ensembles as well as woodwind ensembles and chamber groups. 


In 2005 She was selected by Symphony Australia alongside 5 other students from across the country to study conducting with Sir Christopher Seaman in the scholars conducting program where she then went on to conduct the Oxford Falls Grammar School Junior Band during yr12. Raylie-Anne has been conducting school band programs for 17yrs and tutoring Flute to very high grades for 18yrs and all woodwinds for the past 12yrs.


Raylie-Anne has a Bachelor of Theology majoring in Contemporary performance and arts (2009), Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Songwriting (2011) and Master of Music Performance with a minor in composition for film and tv (2014). During her Masters she had the amazing opportunity to study flute under Jocelyn Fazzone who is the head of the woodwind with the AMEB.


Raylie-Anne is the principal flute and woodwind section leader of the Northern Beaches Orchestra and has the honour of performing with them on a regular basis. She has also previously been a member of the Northern Beaches Symphonic Wind and musicals such as Annie, Summer Rain and Thoroughly Modern Millie. She has also event and stage managed for large scale productions, conventions and album launches.

Aside from music Raylie-Anne is an avid reader, crafter and coffee drinker.


Adam Pecar


Bass/Brass/ Percussion Tutor

Adam, a professional musician and tutor based on the Northern Beaches in Sydney, brings over 15 years of teaching experience to his lessons on brass instruments, bass guitar and percussion. His students, ranging from Year 3 to HSC music and beyond, benefit from his expertise. As a gigging musician for over 20 years, Adam has performed both internationally and domestically.


Over the past decade, Adam has dedicated his focus primarily to teaching and growing his student base, shaping it to what it is today. In addition to his regular tutoring sessions and live performances, he also extends his expertise to various band camps throughout the year.

Adam always prioritises the joy of playing an instrument while maintaining a focus on correct technique. Recognising the unique needs of each student, he tailors his teaching approach to suit their individual pace. A key aspect of his instruction is fostering the ability to read music notation and rhythms, enhancing sight reading—an essential skill that boosts confidence during practice, band rehearsals, lessons at the studio, and performances. 

Bill Bakker


Trumpet/Trombone/Band Conductor

Bill is a jazz performer and composer based in Sydney's Northern Beaches. He is currently completing his degree in Jazz Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, focusing on Trombone and Composition.


With a fun and relaxed attitude, he creates an enjoyable learning environment that encourages students to develop their skills as young musicians and have a great time while doing so. An amazing conductor with a fabulous rapport with kids, Bill inspires confidence and enthusiasm in his students.


Bill has performed with the Conservatorium Big Band 1, from state tours to international jazz festivals, and has had his music performed by the Andrew Robertson Big Band.
